KeyBank branch access is organized around separate service channels rather than one nationwide clock. Lobby, drive-thru, Saturday banking and ATM access can each have their own availability at an individual branch.
Lobby and Drive-Thru Hours Are Separate Branch Services
KeyBank’s individual branch pages distinguish Lobby hours from Drive-Thru hours when a drive-thru is available. At many branches the two schedules match, but they are still treated as separate services rather than a single set of building hours.
This matters when the planned transaction requires a teller or banker. A branch listing can include a lobby, drive-thru, ATM, safe deposit boxes, investment services or night deposit in different combinations. The presence of a KeyBank branch therefore does not automatically mean every access method is offered there.
| Service or access type | Schedule note |
|---|---|
| Lobby | Represents staffed branch access and is displayed as its own schedule on individual branch pages. |
| Drive-Thru | Shown separately at branches that offer drive-thru service; it should not be assumed from lobby availability alone. |
| Saturday banking | Available at selected locations, with some branches offering only a short Saturday window and others remaining closed. |
| ATM | ATM access is identified separately from staffed banking, and some locations specifically provide 24/7 drive-up ATM access. |
Saturday Access Is Not a Single KeyBank Schedule
Saturday is one of the clearest differences between KeyBank locations. The bank’s branch finder includes a dedicated Saturday Hours filter, while individual branch listings show several different operating patterns.
Current official branch pages include locations that are closed Saturday as well as branches with short windows ending around noon or early afternoon. Examples in different markets include 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., 9:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Some branch pages also state that additional Saturday hours may be available by appointment.
Sunday staffed branch service is much less common in the current branch examples. KeyBank’s locator provides a separate Sunday-hours filter, which allows Sunday availability to be treated independently from the standard weekday schedule.
Regional Branch Patterns Differ Across KeyBank Markets
Official location pages show why a single national branch schedule would give a distorted picture of KeyBank hours. In several New York and Pennsylvania examples, staffed service commonly begins at 9:00 a.m., closes around 4:00 p.m. on much of the workweek and extends later on Friday. Some Connecticut branches use a similar pattern with later Thursday and Friday service.
Pacific Northwest examples use a different rhythm. Several Washington and Oregon locations list 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. service during much of the week, with some extending Friday to 6:00 p.m. Colorado branches provide another pattern, with official listings that extend Monday to 6:00 p.m. before using 5:00 p.m. closing times on several other weekdays.
These are recognizable patterns in current official branch listings, not fixed regional guarantees. Even within the same state, Saturday availability and individual weekday closing times can differ.
KeyBank’s 2026 Holiday Calendar Has a Utah Exception
KeyBank publishes its own branch holiday calendar rather than relying on an assumed list of bank holidays. For the remainder of 2026 after August 20, the published branch closures include Labor Day on September 7, Veterans Day on November 11, Thanksgiving on November 26 and Christmas on December 25.
October requires a location-specific distinction. KeyBank lists October 12, 2026, for Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day as a branch closure for all branches except Utah. Utah also has its own Pioneer Day closure on July 24, which occurred earlier in 2026. Because of that state exception, October 12 should not be treated as a nationwide KeyBank closure without regard to location.
ATM Access Does Not Follow the Lobby Clock
A closed KeyBank lobby does not necessarily end account access at that location. Individual branch records can identify walk-up ATMs, drive-up ATMs and whether a drive-up ATM is available 24/7. Other branches may have a walk-up ATM without 24-hour drive-up access, so ATM configuration is a separate location characteristic.
ATM transaction timing also differs from physical access. KeyBank states that cash deposits made at its ATMs before 7:00 p.m. local time on business days are available the same day. ATM deposits made after 7:00 p.m., or on weekends and legal holidays, are treated as deposits made on the next business day. That cutoff can matter even when the ATM itself remains accessible after the staffed branch has closed.
Staffed Transactions Depend on the Branch Service Window
Transactions that require a teller, an in-person banker or access to a branch-based service depend on the staffed service window rather than ATM availability. KeyBank branch listings can identify services such as safe deposit boxes, investment services and night deposit alongside the location’s operating information.
Appointments form another layer of branch access. KeyBank provides appointment scheduling from individual branch pages, and some locations specifically mention additional Saturday availability by appointment. This means the relevant clock for an in-person visit may be the lobby schedule, the drive-thru schedule or an appointment window depending on the transaction being handled.
