Report incorrect hours

Hours Locator is an independent information site and is not affiliated with Wells Fargo.

A Wells Fargo location can have one schedule for staffed lobby service and another for drive-up or ATM access. Banker appointments also depend on local availability rather than the building’s general operating window.

Wells Fargo Lobby Hours Do Not Cover Every Access Channel

Wells Fargo classifies locations as branches with ATMs, branches without listed ATM access, and ATM-only points. A full branch page can display lobby hours, ATM hours, drive-up hours when offered, available banking services, and deposit-processing cutoffs as separate pieces of information.

An exterior or vestibule ATM may remain available after tellers and bankers have finished for the day. ATM access is not automatically continuous, however. The Wells Fargo directory includes ATMs labeled open 24 hours as well as ATM locations with defined closing times.

Wells Fargo service channels and the schedule that applies
Service or location typeSchedule note
Branch lobbyControls access to staffed teller and banker services during the published lobby window.
Drive-up serviceAppears only at participating branches and may have hours separate from the lobby.
Branch ATMUses its own access schedule and may remain available outside staffed branch hours.
ATM-only locationProvides no staffed teller or banker service, even when the ATM is accessible around the clock.
Banker appointmentUses the branch’s available appointment slots and the selected reason for the meeting.

ATM placement can create another access distinction. Wells Fargo states that some ATMs inside secure locations may require a physical card for entry, even when the machine supports digital-wallet transactions.

Saturday Banking Is a Branch-Level Feature

The official Wells Fargo directory includes branches with Saturday lobby hours and other branches that are closed on Saturday. Where Saturday service is offered, the staffed window can be shorter than the branch’s weekday schedule.

Drive-up availability does not automatically follow the lobby schedule. A branch can list a drive-up channel separately, while another location may provide only lobby banking and an ATM. Sunday status is also presented by service channel rather than as a single schedule for the entire location.

Weekend access and deposit processing are different questions. Branch pages that publish deposit cutoffs distinguish between deposits eligible for same-day processing and deposits credited on the next business day. Saturday, Sunday, and holiday deposits may be listed as next-business-day transactions even when an ATM accepts the deposit.

Appointments and Walk-Ins Use Different Availability Rules

Most Wells Fargo branches accept walk-ins for everyday transactions. Appointments reserve time with a banker and are more relevant for activities such as opening an account or requesting specialized assistance, including notary or wire-transfer service where available.

Wells Fargo’s appointment system may offer a same-day meeting as little as two hours before the appointment time when the selected branch has availability. Appointments can also be scheduled up to four weeks in advance. The available times are not necessarily identical to every hour shown under lobby access.

A scheduled meeting does not establish that every service is available at that branch. Local pages identify branch features individually, including services such as new account openings, notary service, cashier’s checks, money orders, safe-deposit access, or wire assistance when offered.

Holiday Closures Apply Differently to Branches and ATMs

Wells Fargo’s location directory publishes a holiday closure calendar for staffed branches and can place date-specific notices on individual location pages. These notices govern lobby and other staffed banking channels, not every ATM connected with the branch.

An ATM may remain accessible while the branch is closed for a bank holiday, subject to the ATM hours and physical access conditions listed for that location. Deposit acceptance also does not guarantee same-day processing; local cutoff information may classify weekend and holiday deposits for processing on the next business day.

Wells Fargo Advisors and Mortgage Offices Use Separate Locators

The bank-and-ATM directory does not represent every Wells Fargo-branded office. Wells Fargo Advisors locations and Home Mortgage offices use separate location systems and may follow schedules unrelated to retail branch lobby hours.

The listing label therefore matters. “Wells Fargo Bank with ATM” indicates a staffed retail branch plus ATM access, while “ATM Only” does not provide a teller or banker window. An advisor or mortgage office should not be treated as a substitute for a consumer banking branch without checking the services identified for that office.

Which Wells Fargo Clock Controls the Transaction

  • Teller transaction: Use the lobby or staffed drive-up schedule.
  • Cash withdrawal: Use the ATM access schedule rather than the branch lobby hours.
  • ATM deposit: Consider both ATM access and the separate ATM deposit cutoff.
  • Account opening or document service: Use banker appointment availability and the branch’s listed features.
  • Same-day deposit processing: Use the published bank or ATM cutoff, not only the location’s closing time.
