The Main Store Schedule Covers In-Person Grocery Shopping
The main H-E-B store schedule applies primarily to entering the store, shopping for groceries and using available checkout lanes. It does not establish the operating hours of every department inside or alongside the building.
H-E-B location records separate the main store schedule from pharmacy and business center hours. They also identify whether a location offers services such as Curbside, Delivery and H-E-B Fuel. This structure is useful because two H-E-B locations with similar grocery-store hours may offer different combinations of departments and ordering services.
Store format can also affect the services listed. A standard H-E-B, an H-E-B plus! location and a smaller market-format store should not be assumed to have the same staffed counters or service availability.
H-E-B Pharmacy Counters Close Before Many Grocery Stores
The pharmacy counter follows its own weekly schedule. Across multiple current H-E-B location pages, a commonly listed pharmacy pattern is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Those pharmacy hours control prescription pickup, pharmacist assistance and in-person vaccine services. The grocery store can continue serving shoppers after the pharmacy counter has closed, so the illuminated store entrance does not indicate that prescription service is still available.
H-E-B also provides online and app-based tools for prescription refills, prescription-status checks, transfers and vaccine scheduling. These tools can be used outside the staffed counter window, but completing an in-person pharmacy transaction still depends on the pharmacy’s schedule.
Business Centers at Some H-E-B Stores Use Separate Hours
Selected H-E-B and H-E-B plus! locations publish business center hours in addition to store and pharmacy hours. These staffed counters normally operate for a shorter portion of the day than the grocery store.
There is no single business center timetable that applies to every participating location. For example, current official location records show different weekday and Sunday business center windows at individual San Antonio and Houston stores. A shopper needing a business center transaction must therefore use that department’s listed schedule rather than the grocery-store closing time.

H-E-B Curbside is based on a reserved pickup time rather than unrestricted access throughout the grocery store’s entire business day. Customers select an available window when ordering and check in from a designated curbside parking space when they arrive.
Home delivery follows the same scheduling principle: the relevant time is the delivery window offered during checkout. An open grocery store does not guarantee that a same-day curbside or delivery window remains available. Order capacity, service coverage and the time the order is submitted determine which windows appear.
Pickup and delivery should therefore be treated as separate service channels, not extensions of the main entrance schedule. The reserved order time controls when an existing order should be collected or received.

The service name shown on the location record matters as much as the store’s opening and closing time. A location without a listed pharmacy, business center, curbside or delivery service cannot be assumed to provide that service merely because the grocery store is open.
