Many Whataburger restaurants operate around the clock, but “open 24 hours” does not always mean every service channel stays available all night. The official location pages separate drive-thru, dine-in, curbside and delivery hours, making the service you plan to use an important part of the schedule.
Drive-Thru and Dining Room Hours Can Be Different
Twenty-four-hour drive-thru service is common across Whataburger’s standard restaurant network. Current official listings in Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Georgia and other markets show many restaurants with a drive-thru operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The dining room can follow the same schedule. For example, current location listings in Dallas, Jacksonville and Powell, Tennessee show restaurants where both the drive-thru and dine-in areas operate 24 hours. Other restaurants keep the drive-thru running overnight while closing the dining room for part of the night.
This second pattern appears at several current locations. Some Houston and Dallas restaurants list a 24-hour drive-thru while their dining rooms close around midnight or later. Several Colorado locations also keep the drive-thru open continuously while using a daytime or evening closing time for dine-in service.
| Service or location type | Schedule note |
|---|---|
| Drive-thru | Frequently listed for 24-hour service at standard restaurants. |
| Dine-in | May operate 24 hours or close overnight even when the drive-thru remains open. |
| Curbside | Often uses a shorter ordering and pickup window than the restaurant itself. |
| Delivery | Can remain available overnight at some restaurants but has its own location-level schedule. |
| Airport or venue restaurant | May follow facility access hours and may not offer a drive-thru at all. |
Not Every Whataburger Is a 24-Hour Location
Whataburger has many round-the-clock restaurants, but the current location network also includes restaurants with overnight closures. A Kennesaw, Georgia location, for example, currently lists both drive-thru and dine-in service from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. rather than 24 hours. Another restaurant in the same area is listed for continuous service.
That difference matters when searching specifically for a 24-hour Whataburger. Two restaurants only a few miles apart can have different overnight schedules even when both offer the same major ordering channels.
24-hour drive-thru does not automatically mean 24-hour dine-in. The official location pages display these schedules separately, so an overnight restaurant may still have a locked dining room while orders continue through the drive-thru.
Curbside and Delivery Do Not Always Follow Restaurant Hours
Curbside pickup is one of the clearest examples of a separate service clock. Current 24-hour Whataburger listings include locations where curbside service ends at 10:00 p.m. or midnight even though the drive-thru continues throughout the night.
Delivery can work differently. At numerous locations, delivery is listed as available 24 hours alongside the drive-thru, while at others it follows the dining schedule or another limited window. A restaurant therefore can be open for orders without every pickup or delivery method remaining active.
These service-specific listings are useful for late-night orders because the restaurant’s general open status alone does not identify whether curbside, delivery or indoor pickup is still operating.
Airport and Venue Locations Follow a Different Pattern
Restaurants inside airports and entertainment properties can depart sharply from the standard roadside format. The Whataburger at San Antonio International Airport currently lists no drive-thru and operates its dine-in service from 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Las Vegas Strip location similarly has no drive-thru and lists dine-in and delivery from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.
These locations illustrate why a 24-hour pattern should not be applied automatically to every Whataburger address. Standalone restaurants are the most likely places to find continuous drive-thru service, while airport, venue and other nonstandard formats may operate according to the property in which they are located.
